Frequently Asked Questions For GMTM Users

Being a new platform working to revolutionize the way athletes are connected with opportunities is not easy. But we are working hard everyday and always available to answer your questions about how to take the most advantage of your new GMTM profile!

To save you some time and help you get your questions answered quickly, we've assembled a list of some of our most Frequently Asked Questions. Check it out below to see if you can learn some new tricks:

I don’t understand what GMTM is. Can you explain it?

GMTM is an Athlete Discovery Platform, helping to lead all athletes to new opportunities that could help with their training, recruitment, or even their career. Athletes can create a GMTM profile and store all of their metrics, recruitment information, and videos in one place.

Meanwhile, GMTM hosts Virtual Combines, Virtual Tryouts, and Virtual Visits for organizations in every sport. Every athlete can participate in these by recording and submitting videos that will be seen exclusively by that organization's coaches and their partner colleges. With each submission, the athlete’s profile is connected so coaches can quickly find how to contact you after watching your video.

How do I find the virtual events?

Finding virtual events is very easy. All you have to do is click on the Activities Tab at the top of this page and then click on any of the options.

In the Activities Tab, users can explore a ton of live virtual events and start participating. For every sport, there are a variety of Virtual Combines, Virtual Tryouts, Virtual Visits, and Training Courses.

Can I compete in more than one event at the same time?

Answer: Yes, you can compete in as many virtual events as you want!

How do I submit a video to a Virtual Combine?

Answer: Submitting a video to a Virtual Combine is easy and something you can do any time of day.

To begin, find the Virtual Combine you want to participate in. Once you are on the event page, scroll down to see all of the activities and click Participate when you find an activity you want to submit to. Then, select Upload From Files and find the video file you’d like to submit.

How can I adjust the privacy settings on my profile?

To adjust privacy settings for your videos or your profile, you can go to Account Settings. Account Settings is found on the dropdown menu located at the top right corner of your screen when you hover your mouse over your profile picture.

Once in Account Settings, you can click the Privacy tab on the left side of your screen. This brings up the area where you can set your preferences on privacy settings for your profile and your videos.

On the Personal tab, you can set your profile to Public, Coaches Only, or Private. On the Film tab, you can select which videos you want to set to Public, Private or visible to Coaches Only.
