Pay attention to how any Winter Olympian trains in the off-season, and you’ll see the work doesn’t stop when the snow and ice melt. After months of international competition, America's winter sports athletes are subject to the same summer heat we are all experiencing. But, they still have to train everyday, and find effective ways to build and maintain the muscle memory that their sport requires.
Fortunately, with the help of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard, those premier athletes and are shown how to train away from the slopes. Their cores, legs, and about every other muscle are able to be toned and maintained through months of hot weather because of exercises developed by the best coaches over the years.
A new GMTM event, the U.S. Ski Pipeline: Digital Combine, now allows young skiers and hopeful Olympic athletes to experience a piece of that offseason training and gain attention from Olympic coaches in the process.
